NAMAQUALAND TOURS
The Namaqualand Flower Route is best to be travelled during the wildflower season from early August to mid-October. You have the option of a two-, three- or five-days' tour.
Especially after good rains, the Namaqualand region in the Northern Cape Province is a heaven on earth, a miracle that needs a closer look. It is an amazing experience to walk on the endless flower carpets of millions of little blossoms in different colours.
Our flower route takes us through Namaqualand, Bushmanland, the Olifants River Valley, Cape West Coast, the Sandveld, the Swartland and the Warm Bokkeveld. It is colour upon colour as we leave Table Mountain behind en-route to the cosy little town of Darling in the Swartland area. We will be travelling over dramatic mountain passes, like the Spektakelpas and we will enjoy the unique and friendly hospitality on the farms and the various guesthouses where we will be staying over in this region.
The Wild Flowers in the Nieuwoudtville region with its picturesque waterfall are our next destination. It is considered to be one of the most exciting wildflower areas in the world. Donkey-carts, the Biedouw valley, a windmill museum and blue veld shoes in Clanwilliam are but a few of the many delightful experiences of the Flower tours. The hospitality and the splendour of nature in this region are indeed unsurpassable.
