GARDEN ROUTE TOURS
The Garden Route Tour is a seven days and six nights trip. It includes a visit to Swellendam, the "Fairy Farm", and a drive through the Bontebok National Park. We travel via Barrydale over the Tradouws Pass and enjoy sherry at the Pumpkin farmstall. We go on Route 62 to Ladismith and Calitzdorp, the portwine capital where we do some wine tasting.
We proceed to Oudtshoorn to visit the famous Ostrich Farms and the spectacular Cango Caves. We overnight in Oudtshoorn. We then travel over the Swartberg Pass and overnight in Die Hel on our way to Prince Albert. We travel to George after a hearty breakfast via De Rust and the breathtakingly beautiful Meiringspoort gorge.
We spend two days in Knysna. We get to know the area, visit the Oyster farms, the Knysna Heads and other attractions. For the night we stay at Buffalo Hills where we are treated to a glass of wine around a bonfire before we enjoy an African-style dinner, a guided Game Drive seeing buffalo, rhino, giraffe and zebra. You might also see whales from the hills. After breakfast we visit Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, Storms River Mouth and Nature's Valley.
On the way back we stop in Victoria Bay and Mossel Bay where we visit several historical sites. We stop at the Aloe Factory and spend the night at "Jan Harmsgat" - a stunning Guest Farm in the Overberg. We return to Cape Town the next day.
