CAPE DAY TRIPS
We depart from your guest house or hotel after breakfast at 9h00 and, depending on your preferences of dinner options, return at approximately 17h00. The full itinerary will be discussed upon or before departure and depending on the size of the group it can be adjusted to suit your personal preferences.
Cape Town – The Mother City
We visit museums, drive passed historical sites and architectural icons and k have the option of visiting Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island and Table Mountain & the V&A Waterfront for shopping & dining. A theatre visit can be an excellent end to an enticing day.
The Cape Peninsula
This day trip includes Table Mountain National Park, which is a Natural World Heritage Site. We also visit Hout Bay, drive along the stunning Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, proceed to Simon's Town with its penguin colony and visit the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point.
The Overberg
The most scenic coastal drive from Gordon's Bay to Hermanus (best land-based whale-watching site) and back via Hemel & Aarde Valley (wine, wheat and onion region), tea in the valley of grace, Greyton, a visit to the missionary station Genadendal and then back via Elgin & Grabouw (apple country). Fauna, flora, penguins, blue cranes and other birds, rugged mountain ranges, the ocean and exquisite seafood is part of this tour.
The Cape West Coast
This day trip will lead us to the towns of Bloubergstrand, Mamre, Darling and Yzerfontein. We will visit the West Coast National Park, Saldanha and Langebaan, Velddrif, Paternoster, Vredenburg, Piketberg, Moorreesburg and Malmesbury. You will see rugged coastline. A visit to the West Coast Fossil Park is included.
