CAPE TOWN TO KRUGER PARK
On this 2-weeks tour you will encounter some of the major highlights of South Africa. The tour starts in Cape Town and ends in Johannesburg.
Day 1: We will collect you at your guest house or hotel at 8h00. We drive to Swellendam on the N2, and then take the Tradouws Pass to Barrydale. We travel on the scenic R62 to Calitzdorp, and further on to Oudtshoorn where we stay overnight.
Day 2: We visit an ostrich show farm in Oudtshoorn in the morning and then drive to the Garden Route. We pass George and Wilderness and reach Knysna at lunchtime. We visit the Knysna Waterfront, the Knysna Heads and other attractions in the area. We stay overnight in Knysna.
Day 3: We drive to Plettenberg Bay, visit the town and have a walk on the beautiful Keurbooms Strand. We then proceed to the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, the Storms River Mouth and Natures Valley. We stay overnight in Tsitsikamma.
Day 4: We travel to Port Elizabeth and have a sightseeing tour through the City. After lunch we proceed to the Addo Elephant National Park. We have an afternoon game drive and overnight in the park.
Day 5: After a game drive in the morning we will proceed to Cradock to visit Mountain Zebra National Park where we will encounter spectacular Karoo scenery and spot the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra. We stay overnight in the cosy Karoo town of Cradock.
Day 6: We drive via Aliwal North, Smithfield, Ladybrand and Ficksburg to Clarens in the Freestate Highlands where we will stay overnight.
Day 7: We visit of the Golden Gate National Park in the Drakensberg Highlands. We then carry on and drive via Harrismith, Volksrust and Ermelo to Mpumalanga. We stay overnight in Sabie or Graskop on the Panaroma Route.
Day 8: We visit the spectacular Blyde River Canyon area, God's Window, the Potholes and other attractions on the Panorama Route. We stay overnight in Hoedspruit.
Day 9: We drive to the Kruger National Park and enter through the Orpen Gate. Game drives in the central section of the game reserve. In the afternoon we reach the Skukuza Restcamp where we will check in and stay for 2 nights.
Day 10: We do game drives in the central and southern parts of the huge Kruger National Park.
Day 11: We go for a game drive in the morning. We leave the Kruger Park through the Malelane Gate in the south and drive to Nelspruit. We stay overnight in a lodge near Nelspruit.
Day 12: We drive to Middelburg and visit the Ndebele cultural village in Boshabelo. We then proceed to Pretoria where we stay overnight.
Day 13: We have a sightseeing trip through Pretoria and visit the Union Building and other attractions. In the afternoon we proceed to Johannesburg where we stay overnight.
Day 14: We have a sightseeing trip through Johannesburg. The tour ends with a lunch. We then transfer you to the airport or your hotel.
